Boating Groups with 10+ members may join or renew their annual membership for 50% off.

Is there any interest in TO.net being a "Cooperating Group"? Not sure what that means other than having a link to BoatUS website which is pretty good general boating education site.

I have used them for a few years with on water towing services (haven't needed them yet!) but mainly for their "On the Road Towing services" if the tow vehicle breaks down or a hub bearing burns up and damages the spindle, etc, they will fix or tow the trailer.

Hey Molar. Thanks for letting me know about this. I'll contact them to see if we can qualify. Perhaps a good benefit for Premium Members. I'll let you know what I find out.
 
Great Idea!

BoatUS is the one I use. I think this would go over very well on this site. I'm sure that we have at least 10 BoatUS members on this site if not more. I'm all for it :) My membership is due for renewal in a few months, trailer and boat coverage. Great idea Molarboater!
 
YES this would be great. I am a boatus member. If we got 50% off. that would be about $ 62.50 savings got to love that.
 
I too would be interested. As stated before, I am sure we can get the 10 members if we do not already have them.
 
Guys, upon further investigation it looks like we would get 50% off the annual BoatUS membership dues, not towing insurance, etc. Here is the official read:

Boating's Biggest Speaker's Bureau. As a Cooperating Group, you'll have access to guest speakers and boating videos for group meetings - and many are free of charge. Over 260 experts are registered with the Bureau. For a list of speakers in your area, call (800) 678-6467.

The Most Up-To-Date Boating Information. As a BoatUS Cooperating Group, you have permission to reproduce in your newsletter articles found in BoatUS Magazine, Trailering Magazine, and Seaworthy Newsletter. Plus, you will be included in our national press release distribution, and the Cooperating Groups eNewsletter.

Web Link Exchange. Link to www.boatus.com, and we will link to your Website in exchange.

Burgee Exchange. Send us your group's burgee, and we will proudly display it in our national headquarters office. In return, we will send you the BoatUS flag to hang in your clubhouse or meeting area.

It still wouldn't hurt to do this. If any of our folks are BoatUS members that would save you $12.50 off the annual membership, which is half the cost of a Premium Member membership on this site. Let me know your thoughts. :)
 
Is their any chance of getting a deal on towing. With say 25 or 50 members. The one in Port Orange Fl seams like a good business man willing to work out discounts. Would the whole Association. Boat US. Do one as a blanket any time any where?? They would get a lot of new members.
 
I'm a member and I have the tow insurance. I just renewed this past January though.
Think they will give me $12.50 back? Yea right.:D

Member with their "Unlimited Towing Service". On the Gulf Coast, in our part of Florida, their limit is 50 miles vs 30 miles for the other company. We just received our renewal bill yesterday.
 
And don't forget about the BoatUS Application for your phone. It has places to add your insurance information (if you have it with them) just like your Auto policies ;)
