304 stainless has a tendency to get a little surface rust. Not bad, but not as stainless as 316.

Sheet metal screws will do for most things. A backing plate would be my recommendation for anything that is going to have a load on it.

Also, 3M-94 primer is the surface preparation for anything you're going to stick to the plastic (registration numbers). It is also good prior to using adhesive or caulk.

The ONLY adhesive or caulk to use on the roplene hull and other plastics is Sudbury elastomeric. Really really, nothing else will stick long term.
