And was looking for a better and more secure way, to carry my Nikon that will allow me to reach it for quick shot "without" having it have it around my neck all the time.

Enjoy!

I ordered one and in my opinion, it is a great way to carry around your camera and a lot of other "stuff" and basically makes for a great Murse (Man Purse) for you can carry your camera, cell phone, keys, just a lot more stuff than you would 1st think! As such, I use it when I go to jump on another boat or travel in the Xterra.

And for the CCW members here, really just for a size comparison... There is a nice "inside" pocket that will fit a Glock G34 with no troubles. Now, I would not think that using that large of a frame for CCW work would be the best application. And you are not going to be able to get it out this bag super fast either, so keep that in mind... And it might also make for a good smaller range bag. You are just not going to be able to carry a lot of 9mm or .45 rounds in it at the same time.

What I did not personally like, was how long it can take to get take a camera out to get a quick shot. But it does fit inside it nice and secure and yes, I ordered it with the extra insert / camera padding. And with the inside cover, it should be fairly water resistant. So if you have a nice place on your Boat or Skiff that is dry (like under the seat of a leaning post or inside a hatch) it does make for a great little storage / travel bag that you can keep more than enough stuff for that day trip all in one place, and just pitch it over your shoulder when you go to leave :)

So if you would like to read and see more and or order it to try for yourself, you can on this link: https://amzn.to/2OIaodc

And let us know how it works for you and your needs if you would!

Best,
Dave

Long term update and after working with it more, I have found it to be a great little Camera Bag that has allowed me to "grab and go" my Nikon for a quick shoot. This be it in the Xterra for some Sunset / Landscape work. Or on a Skiff / other needs even including for a walk with the Tripod in my other hand.

Only Con and same as my original post which is even worse now that I have a different and larger Tripod mounting plate. Is getting the camera out of the bag with any kind of speed, thus I make sure I have it free if needed before such ;)

So I have made some upgrades to the bag to help address my needs, one of them was a real nice water bottle at a much lower cost, but just as good of quality as say the other "more expensive" name brands. I also got it in a matching black as my bag and it (the smaller 32 oz one) fits real nice and snug on this bag...

You can find out more about the bottle here:

As well as the side pocket on this bag, is just perfect for carrying extra SIM Cards in this hard shell memory card holder:

Both of these upgrades to the bag as I like to call them are not expensive at all, but provide great value to the system and your workflow :D

Good Shooting!

Love these bags! And they can hold a ton of gear if you take the time to pack them in a logical manner.

I have two of these bags now (one for Nikon each camera) which makes it a true "Grab and Go" system. I just put different patches on each bag, so I know which camera the P950 or Z6 I am grabbing ;)

Here is where I was able to secure via Amazon of course, some other Velcro patches (Some are quite funny like this one) to fit for my other bag:

And they would also make for a nice range bag with a side pouch for a water bottle, as mentioned above.

Good Shooting (Be it Lead or Pictures) and Enjoy!
