OK, I'm new to the fishing thing. I have a Shimano Curado reel on a Cabela's rod.
I have been looking at the Shimano Butterfly Jigs with interest.
I was wondering if anyone has used them?
I looked at Cabela's, West Marine and Bass Pro's websites and they don't carry them.

I have used my boat for crusing, scuba diving and some camping. So far, I have 'practiced' fishing.
I'll be heading down to Tybee Island, GA this coming week and want to try some fishing.
I thought about trying out one of those Butterfly Jigs if I could find one?

Thanks for any info.

John

John, Check them out locally when you get to Tybee Island. You can probably get some good "local" knowledge on what the fish are biting. Good luck.

You might want to try a new made in the USA jig called the Roscoe. It is made by Blue Water Candy Lures and has just been out a couple of months. On the first trip four of us pulled up over 2,000 pounds of Amberjack, sharks, grouper, African Pompano, etc. These rigs will catch anything! I am very excited about them and they are much less expensive than the Shimano rigs. You can check them out here:

They are working on a 2oz. near shore jig for flounder, back sea bass, etc.
