Friday April 13, 2018 SF Bay Halibut are in

Well, the charter boats are starting to get Halibut in the SF bay already... starting about a month sooner then usual. Should be a great Halibut year in the SF Bay Area. I went out on Friday the 13th and drifted dead anchovies for one 27” butt!

It is a bucket list item for me to someday make it to the Pacific and pull a halibut. That and fish in Alaska some day. Thanks for sharing!

I fish for California Halibut in Humboldt Bay, in Eureka California, quite a lot.

I am usually very successful. There's live bait techniques, and trolling techniques.

Can you post some information about where you go and the techniques you use in the San Francisco Bay? It's over 250 miles from home, but I've always wanted to go down and fish that.
