Greetings everyone,
We're closing the deal this week on a 2005 190 Bay CC with a Yamaha F115. We took it out for a test drive this past Saturday.
We came close to buying a '95 Pro Line flats boat with a Mercury 115 Optimax, but I had overwhelming concerns about wood rot in a boat that old, and after the experience with our Mercruiser 470 I/O, any motor that has a nickname like Optibomb made me run away. Also, a flats boat would be too limiting.
So, we got a loan for $6500 more than I was going to pay for the old Pro Line, but the good thing is that we'll be out on the water next weekend with no worries.
That Yammy four stroke started right up and idled so quietly. Amazing.
