Several folks have asked for recommendations on photo editing software. You should have received a photo editing software program with your camera if you've purchased a digital camera. Usually something like Kodak Easyshare, etc. If not maybe one of the programs below will help. I use Photoshop all the time and have no experience with the others listed below but others have recommended them. If you need a program to resize or edit your photos before uploading to the site, check out these options.

Adobe Photoshop http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html
(benchmark professional user program but somewhat pricey)

Google Picasa http://picasa.google.com/index.html
(free program and looks good)

Gimp http://www.gimp.org
(free program)

OspreyVic uses Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Microsoft PowerToys
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
(more complicated install but there are several programs included. The "Image Resizer" toy can do the job)

I have used the full blown Pshop version 7.0 but am presently using Photoshop Elements 2.0 which came free with my film scanner. It doesn't have all the bells and whisltles but it is still rather powerful. It is a whole lot cheaper than the full version!!!!

My dell came with jasc paint shop and Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10. I've use them both extensively and find Microsoft Picture It the easyest to use . I do a lot of underwater digital and the color/exposure correction stuf really works.

Good Luck

You can literally use any software for a beginner level. But once you want to have premium editing software that is loaded with features, you are left with 2-3 options like Photoshop, Lightroom. They provide extreme grip over the picture. Not very easy to use but you can find a tutorial on each and every tool separately.
