I have a pair of NSS Evo3's on my 235cc. I probably would have gone Garmin, but when I bought the boat the entire electronics suite was Lowrance (Navico); engine data cable, fuel level sensor, radar, network backbone, etc., etc. Switching my MFD to Garmin would have required a full change-out of all electronics parts and pieces. Whereas the Simrads (also Navico) plugged right in and communicated with everything. It was a much less expensive choice while upgrading.
I was not as familiar with Simrad, but have come to really like them.
