Well, I just boat my first ever boat, a 2002 170 DC. Need a trailerable cover for it. It has railings on the sides and bow. I have only found covers for 170 DC w/o railings. Anyone knows a source for one with railings? Also, the marina guy says that covers are not good for winterizing the boat since they are not water proof and do not breathe - suggests shrink wrapping with vents. Is that true or is he trying to make a quick buck?

I don't know about up north and the weight of snow and ice naturally, but my cover is made out of sunbrella material and does both quite well.

Here again, I had it custom made and was much less expensive than a garage and could (if needed) tow with it and was designed to leave the trolling motor in place while covered ;)
