Trolling Motor Pedal Problem

I just replaced my MinnKota Wireless trolling motor with the good old fashioned Minnkota Edge 55 lb. cable steer model. I did not like the wireless control or foot pedal. The new foot pedal did not come with any rubber "feet" on it so it slides around the deck and is hard to use. Has anyone secured the foot pedal to the fish box lid and how does that work? Or any other ideas for securing the foot pedal would be appreciated. I would prefer it not to bolt it to the deck because depending on what side I am fishing I like it in a different position. I use a product called nonskid or non slip can't remember which. It comes in a roll . walmart now carries it . I use to buy it a camping world for my motor home to put in cabinets so stuff wouldn't slide.
