I got tired of unloading the tackle from the boat and the poles were always just dropped anywhere in the way & then falling down and damaging the rod guides or worse. So I made this rack out of PVC to hold my rods/reels as they come off the boat to be washed. The second pic shows the PVC tube end flaired by heating it and using a glass beer bottle to form the flair. After washing, I put the longer spinners in the angled holders so they will clear the low garage door, and use an attached rope to pull the whole rack into the garage to dry. Works pretty good. Quick & easy to wash the gear & nothing gets damaged. After they dry I hang them in an overhead rack for safe keeping till next trip.
