Opinions --
I like the two sensor models because they are easily tested by putting a finger or other conductive object across both sensors. The 101 is designed to be easily mounted to most existing bilge pumps. Both styles require periodic wiping off of the sensors to perform correctly. The difference between the Bilge Pump sensors and the High Water sensors is that the Bilge Pump sensors require water to be present for 6-8 seconds after containing the lower sensor (to reduce pump cycling from sloshing water) and will remain on for 14 seconds after the water level has dropped below sensor height to help clear the discharge line. The High Water sensors, on the other hand, will turn on when water is present for at three seconds an will immediately shut off after the water level has dropped. They also have combination sensors which can control multiple pumps or a pump and an alarm.

Water Witch also make line of Bilge Pump control panels and counters which I highly recommend.
