used a straight flushmount rodholder on the angled section of the forward gunnel. Works great. (ya can't have too many rodholders.) the location is opposite the recessed cupholder on the inside..........why??? ........now you catching on.....acess for thru bolting with machine screws & locknuts. No tapping screws on this boat. Damn, I gotta get that first mate scrubbing that railing.......
