cleaning products

The boat got pretty dirty when towing with a turbo diesel pusher Motorhome, especially when the turbo failed and the exhaust got pretty smoky (but not oily or sooty). Any suggestions on what to use to clean it? Or perhaps a redirect to an existing forum I have not found? Thanks!
