Fishing contact for Marines in Hawaii?

My son is in the Marine Corps and currently stationed in Hawaii. He really wants to do some fishing. But apparently things are pretty expensive there and he's not sure where to start. I was wondering if there were any members that have lived in Hawaii or know of a group like Take a Soldier Fishing or Working Warriors, that support military personnel by taking them fishing. Any information that would enable him to catch some fish would help the time pass for him and some of his buddies. Thanks!
