OUR EVINRUDE CUSTOMERS

We are proud to have supplied you with outboard engines over the past 110 years. For business reasons, we have made the difficult and thoughtful decision to discontinue manufacturing of our outboard engines to focus on the next generation of propulsion.

We know you probably have questions about how this decision will impact where to go for services, parts availability and whether your current warranty coverage or service contract are affected. Rest assured, our teams and dealer network will continue to be there to support you.

Despite their EPA ratings, I'm surprised the two-stroke lasted this long.

Now that 4 strokes weight is about the same and can spin up nearly as fast now due to advanced ECU programming combined with light weight Pistons, Con Rods, etc. The advantages they once held are pretty much gone...

And very sad to see and American company go! They were still having some quality issues with power-heads that others were not having or having as many. One simply cannot survive that way for long no matter how long of a warranty you start placing on them.

I trust and pray overall, that we as a Nation have seen way to much of our Manufacturing base go overseas. Time for all to come home and if nothing else, for the security and employment of our own Citizens :)

And time for some American Leadership from company leaders and to get back to being the "Face of the Company" and here are some lessons for them on how to do such from the past

So come on Mercury, you are now the last one this on an engine concept we here in the USA invented. So let's see you really step up to the plate and hear it from the Top Man, not some paid spokesman who gets a new engine every year thus does not have to worry much about downtime ;)
