The high rail got in my way. Plus this one is 1 1/2"........easier to hold on to.
No, the boat is not on the trailer backwards. I added two extra uprights to keep the boat aligned on the trailer when loading. Comes out of the ramp centered on the bunks everytime.
** Sidenote: The lowered rail is really great for throwing a castnet. I only wish the forward stepup with the hatch was larger. I saw the one in a post that makes for a large platform and I'm thinking of another mod along that idea.
