Bow Strap and Transom Support

I was not happy with the way my 190 bounced around when being towed. Except for on the smoothest roads I could feel the boat bouncing and making the tow vehicle unsteady.

Two major improvements I find at a relatively low cost of about $50 total:

1. MyWedge transom support to steady up the engine.

2. Bow strap attaching the bow hook to the trailer frame prevents the bow from bouncing up and down. The bow winch and roller do not provide much vertical stability so the bow bounces if not tied down to the trailer. It is a very simple mod as no additional hooks on the trailer or boat are needed.

You need to check your toungue weight as well. If it's bouncing that much and it's affecting the tow vehicle, you might be a little off on center of gravity. Try to get about 10% of the gross weight balanced to the tongue. Should help to hold the bow down as well.

And using a bathroom scale placed under the jack stand as it is lowered back down is the easy to check / measure such.
