Hello all!

I am the proud owner of a 195 DC with a suzuki 140 4 stroke. The "Nancy D" as I call her is docked on Sampsons Pond in Carver MA. The pond is rocky and fairly small (310 Acres) but the state record largemouth was caught here many years ago 15.5 Lbs.

I am new to the whole boating world so any tips anyone can give about boating would be great. For example, someone told me if I happen to hit a rock in the pond with the prop you should fix it as soon as possible because the vibration to the motor can be disastorous. I did figure hitting a rock was not good but I wasn't aware of the serious implications. I'm sure there are lots of bits of advice which could help me out along the way.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

PS so far I am loving "the Nancy D". I will post some picts soon.

get yourself a propulse 4 blade adjustable pitch prop WITH REPLACABLE BLADES. should you hit another rock hard it will just breAK OFF THE BLADE AND IT CAN BE EASILY REPLACED BY HAVING A FEW SPARE BLADES ON HAND very inexpensive compared to a s.s. prop
