Yesterday was my new 195CC's maiden voyage in the salt. We launched out of Davies in Alamitos and fished the Huntington Flats. There was no swell, but the wind came up early and strengthened throughout the day. The armada was there in full-force because the sandies were going off. Myself and two others on board cauight and released at least a dozen sand bass each. There were also some nice-sized slime logs in the mix. I'd loaded up on a scoop of sardines, but all fish were caught on jigs or swimbaits. Blood on the decks is always a nice way to christen a boat. Can't wait to get back out.

Great way to break in a boat for sure. I believe these plastic boats are fishier than most for a lot of the same reasons as the Yaks, plastic is just quiet and there is some talk of a particular type of static electricity that I don't understand. those scooters are a lot of fun on light tackle if the dogs stay off you.
Congratulations on the boat and the day
Victor
