I just recently picked up some Flitz cleaner, at West Marine. It was a little pricey, like $20.00 for 5 1/2oz tube of the paste.
I then decided, I was going to head to the boat, and put the super shine on my stainless, aluminum. After looking over the instructions, I went to work on my bow rail, and "WOW" what a shine!
It also removed the baked on bugs on the front of the rail with ease. Then I decided to tackle my t-top, especially the front, which was really plastered with bugs (due to to trailering), and it removed the insect parts with ease, and my aluminum looks like brand new.
Then I applied some on my windshield, and "let me tell ya", "my windshield looks better than when I bought it!".
I decided to hit the outboard, I have some water/ lime deposits on my lower unit.
It recommended that you use a stiff brush when removing lime deposits (which I didn't have at the time), and it removed about 98 percent of deposits with me just using a rag.
I then went to work on every piece of metal and plexy on the boat, and without even really putting a dent in the tube.
I'm really impressed with this Flitz cleaner, and it is non-toxic, non-flammable and wont dry out (just to name a few of its positive properties) and it also contains a protectant as well.
"It's really good stuff, I'm Sold!!
