Look in the owners manual for your outboard if you have one. If not go to Yamaha outboards.com and look up your motor. You'll be able to find an answer. My 2008 F150 Yamaha calls for at least 87 octane.1 You might want to look at using Yamaha Ring free in each tank for carbon build up and also a fuel additive like Sratron or something similar for the Ethanol problems. Make sure you have a good fuel/water separator filter between your gas tank and motor. 10 micron Yamaha or something similar.Good luck.
