It is just about impossible to reach the zerk fittings on the tilt tube of my Honda (I hear the Yamaha's are just as bad) due to the size of the hydraulic steering ram. Well here is a possible fix for that problem http://www.thexton.com/vshop/shopexd.asp?id=312&catid=35 And if I can find one local and it works or not, I will let everybody know :)

Now you could always swap out the current grease fitting for 45 or 90 degree ones, my worry would be in breaking one off in the swap process  and then you are now in trouble for sure... So has anybody else tried using such a coupler? What was your results?

Thanks!

Thats a great tool, I will look around my area as well.

Found out today from my buddy John at Heartland on a note on the subject,
Dave,
This part is available from NAPA, and the part number is 700-2020. They call it a right angle coupler.

So that should make it a little eaiser to find now ;)

While shopping at a Harbor Freight store a few days ago, I found a complete quick disconnect kit that had the right angle coupler included for $34.00 bucks

and it works prefect ;) Only down side is that it can scuff the paint on the back of the steering ram if you are not careful. It also can skin up some knuckles trying to remove it, so watch your hand position for when it finally breaks free

I also see that you can order just the right angle coupler alone for much less.

Enjoy!
