Getting ready to repair a leaky power trim cylinder on a 50 hp Johnson. Has anyone ever left motor in place, removed the cylinder end cap, lifted the engine to allow the piston to clear the cylinder. I do not want to fight the upper pin removal. Just wondering if I can raise the motor high enough to clear the cylinder.
