The very first thing taught in Flying is a Checklist. The checklist has served me well in many ventures. Thought I'd post what I use for my boating. Maybe someone here will find some of it useful as well. I put each section on 3x5 cards and laminate them, punch a hole in the corner and slip them together on a keyring. No high tech allowed here.
It helps me hold off Alzheimer's for a few more years........:D

Most of my life. My Dad taught me when I was a kid. One of the first planes I flew was an old open cockpit, radial engine, Sterman Biplane. The prop I'm leaning on above in my Avatar pic, is a two seater 300mph airplane I built from a kit. :)

Just a wee bit jealous :D

Cardinal driver myself, been flying now for 14 years. Sometimes it's a hard choice between the using the boat or using the plane, lol

I miss the flying sometimes. Just too darned expensive. I used to instruct to cover my flying costs, but after the PATCO strike in '81, had so much overtime at work, that I had to give that up, and never got back to it. Actually, I miss the choppers more than the fixed-wing.

I hear ya both. Everyone thinks boating or bikes are my favorite interests........but my passion's always been flying. I've put many hours in the Cardinal RG's Frank. Nice aircraft. Always wanted to do choppers too Mike. But I can relate to the "too darned expensive". Lately, just ain't enough time or dough to go round.

My racing (SCCA GT-4) buddy turned me onto checklist many, many years ago. Even before the brain cells began to die off. :)
