190 bay 115 Yami, 3ft seas, 6 sec period with 1-2 ft wind blown chop on top. Wind 10mph + two divers & six tanks . 3800 rpm trimed bow high 19 mph on the gps. 5mi run from the pass. The other two boats were a 21ft Chaparel, withGM IO and a 24 ft.. IO( Don't know the brand) four divers each. Guess who led the way. The others had a hard time keeping up. The 24footer turned back to dive calmer waters in the bay. Located the wreck on the first pass with Garmin 76 map and 240 blue bottom machine.

Great dive on a bridge span in 76 ft of water an 40 ft elivation.Viz 50 ft +. just a two tank pretty fish dive. Headed inshore to the wreck of the Chicasaw. A 107 foot tug that sunk just after WWII on its way to be scuttled as a reef by some local fishermen another great dive but viz was down to 15 ft. did take the camera on this one and got a couple of good ones. Will post.

The 24 footer died in the pass on the way in and opted to wait for us instead of calling Sea Tow. something about them maybe claiming his boat for salvage because he was derilict. ( he read something on the internet about this happening.) I found him anchored just out of the channel on the west side of the jetties . I rigged a tow strap and towed him across the congested channel and back to the marina at Tyndall AFB, about 4.5 mi. 2400 rpm and 4 mph against the out going current. got up to 6.3 mph once inside the bay.

Shows what great boats these are.
