Been a while since I had to think of another slick way to add some Tunes to a Skiff / Boat (so fire up some Mission Impossible Music to set the mood) much less, have another Low Budget AND have lower system failure rate at the same time!

Matter for fact, took me a few minutes to find the last way I cut corners, and came up with a slick little way to do it (Mostly for those who already have Speakers Mounted on their Boats) which you can still also use naturally ;)

And you can find that article here for reference:

This time will be different though! No cutting holes into the Hull, No pulling wires, No mounting or the failure of Expensive Speakers, AMP's or Head Units... No Sir, not this time! My system requirements are low since I just stream MP3's or whatever I want to jam on, from my I Phone via Bluetooth, and you can do the same ;) Again with no cutting, and no (unless you leave it there by mistake) possibility of theft

Now I already have one of these puppies and using it now matter of fact, to listen to music while on my PC for all the needed Site work I have planned Which is the BOSE SoundLink Color Bluetooth® speaker II

And what is real cool about them, is now you can tie two of them in together, so you can really crank up the sound output and volume! Matter of fact, if you place them down low like on the deck, you can get a pretty good Bass Boost from them as the sound travels around under the cap / gunnels of your Favorite Water Chariot this and fairly water resistant at the same time if you are wondering...

Then all you need is a awesome little APP like the BOOM Audio App which you can find here:

https://www.globaldelight.com/boomformobile/

On your Phone to really make it really Go Bump and Feel Your Music in 3D! And even though I have the ability to stream music direct from my PC like now as an example... Just a Huge Difference in sound quality and fullness when it comes from my phone using this Awesome Phone Application with all the settings and presets I can employ with it ;)

So, hope this helps, and for around $260.00 for two of these Speakers. Or even less if you go the Refurbished route like on this link:

https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/speakers_outlet/soundlink_color_ii_fr.html#v=soundlink_color_ii_fr_blue

And maybe a Mount for your phone like the Crowfoot (if needed) that I made mention of here:

https://www.performanceoutdoors.net/threads/my-radar-application.9320/#post-51954

Combined with this Killer little Phone App to greatly expand on all that sound. You are now in Phat City AND can take it with you for other uses like when you leave the Boat for the Beach, Or put it all away in your Boat / Tackle Bag for the next Fishing trip without worry the next time they are need IF they are still work OR worse, even still there and not freshly pried out of your Boat last Wednesday night at 2am by some Bottom Feeder while the Dog was passed out also!

Plus, they also come in several colors to help match the color scheme of your Boat :D

So, the set I went with this time is the Bose SoundLink Flex and very impressed with the sound quality of these little speakers! And when you place them into a corner of something (like a Skiff ) the can really pop! Even better when you use the Bose Application mentioned above, and place them into "Party Mode" and give them Left and Right Stereo.

Now, as long as I don't forget them (just pitch them into your day bag before cleaning and stowing the Boat) Kind of hard for them to get stolen and they simply will not be exposed to the elements all the time because of such!

Only downside I see thus far and again shocked how long they do run, is having to bring them inside and recharge them... For me though, that is a small price to pay for all the advantages and other possible uses for remember, these are totally portable ;)

Here is the press release on this newer speaker and some of it's feature set:

https://www.bose.com/en_us/pressroom/featured/soundlink_flex_bluetooth_speaker.html

Here is a good video review on them:

And if you employ the Boom Application also mentioned above, you will then have EQ features to use with your Bose Speakers contrary to what the video above denotes.

So, when you are ready to ditch all the headaches of mounted speakers, this and having to replace them from time to time from getting wet just way too many times again! This or another wiring issue that is on a wiring harness that was placed into the Boat at the time of build (good luck fishing that puppy) this system works just AWESOME!

You can order them on Amazon or direct from Bose on this link:
