yamaha digital gauges

I have digital yamaha gauges on my '04 190 bay. On the top right side of the left gauge, which is the tach, there is a picture of a boat with arrows at the front of the picture pointing up and down. I was wondering what this signifies. Is this some sort of trim gauge? It might not be working, whatever it is, as the bar graph always shows the lowest setting no matter where the motors trim location is. Any info would be appreciated.

It sounds to me that it is a trim gauge. This may be of some help.

triumph190bay, sounds to me like your trim indicator isn't working properly. There are numbers 1 thru 5 below the boat icon, and I generally run with the trim between 3.5 to 3.75.

yeah that's the gauge, mine is always at 1 no matter what the trim location, any idea how to fix?
