Yozuri Crystal Minnow-Kingfish Candy

As you may know, we added some homemade outriggers to our Triumph 210. We've been trolling for kingfish in depths of 35-50 ft with the 5 1/4" Yozuri Crystal Minnows in the Blue Tiger color. The kings can't stay away from them. The plug only gets down to maybe 5-8 feet, but the motion/flash/rattles draw kings in. I even lost a plug while letting line out to start the troll (he bit the wire leader/mono connection). Another trolling plug to try is a Russelure, or also called "King Get-r". I've only found one place through a website to find them: nutsandboltsfishing.com Trolling more than one of these at a time will be a challenge as they tend to dip and swerve wildly, but they work.

I'm not saying I'm ready for the SKA, but the kingfish bug has definitely bit me. Good luck and good fishing.
