I has boat! 215cc with a T-top. Unfortunately it has a 2 stroker 150HP yamaha but the hour meeter says 360 (kinda wonder about that on a 2006 engine). Brand new 9.9HP kicker, fresh/raw washdown, nifty clear top bait holder with a pumb to circulate raw water, trim tabs, so-so electronics but 2 so GPS and fish/depth finder on 2 different screens, new uniden, windlass that seems sorta busted, manual downriggers, electric crab pot puller.

I have yet to have her out, home harbor is Santa Cruz, CA (I live about 8 miles from Barry, it's all his fault this happened, he took me out in his 210 CC).

Been trying to fix stuff up, so far

swapped out the 3 foot for 8 foot antenna and swapped plastic base for stainless

fixed the trim tabs (one still sounds crappy, might have to take it apart)

fixed the power to the windlass

new trailer lights

6 new tires (and I now own a tire changer and wheel balancer)

fixed the nav light

geared up a bunch:

Standard Horizon hand held radio (still need to figure out a way to keep this on me)

2 auto inflating vests (didn't know these were a thing, they are awesome!)

Bunch of Ugly stick inshore, big water, 4 spinning, 2 casting. Spinning reels are Daiwa BG and casting is a little Piscifun thunder (for bass) and a Penn Squall level winder for salmon (and maybe some day tuna, need some experience first). And jigs and crankbaits and stuff to drag anchovies.

So howdy fellow triumph fans!

Welcome aboard! Good user name. :) I hope you'll post some photos of your setup in the Media section. We look forward to your participation. And good to Barry for introducing you to a Triumph.

Yeah, it's all Barry's fault. I'm a fly fishing guy. I've done perch, walleye, pike, crappies, etc on spinning gear as a kid but once I found fly fishing I was hooked. But where I live even semi decent (decent catch rate, crappy size) is ~5-6 hours away. For me, fishing is like Christmas, you never know what's in the package until you reel it in. When Barry showed there was fishing right here, holy moly, how could I have lived next to the ocean for this long and not figured it out?

My wife is a little grumpy because I'm spending money like a drunken sailor but I think it's gonna be so much fun to be out there.
And I've got a disease that is slowly progressing, making my feet not work. So I want to go have fun while I can. Ocean fishing is mostly standing but I can fish sitting down just fine. So that rocks.

and in another trip to that same place, 32 inch, 16 pound bull trout caught on a 5 weight Sage Z-axis:

Good luck with the new boat! Just explain to your bride that BOAT is not a word but really stands for "Break Out Another Thousand" and that she was just mistaken all these years thinking it was a word ;) That should give her chuckle  The sooner you get her on the water though (even if it is just reading a book in the Sun) and involved, that usually turns around pretty quick :)

We have a separate Forum section for Fly fishing that nobody has ever used...? So please, feel free to post some cool pictures, tips, and real world product reviews that you may have

And see below for your bucket list of items to get on a Fly Rod with the new boat :)
