17 cc Yamaha 704 shifter control box

I have a 2007 17 cc with a Yam 70 2 stroke. the shifter control box is model 704. the throttle control acts like a jet ski and needs to be held to keep up speed. Is there a adjustment to make this control act like regular boat throttle controls?

There is an adjustment screw under the throttle control. Take a screw driver with you on the water and adjust it a little at a time to get it where it will hold but not so tight that it is too stiff to move easily.
