36" Cobia

Went out today with my buddy. We saw a lot of rays in the water and figured there should be some big cobia following them. We were right. This one was 36". Of course the one that got away (broke line) was much bigger ...(Of coure) LOL

Nice!! .......but not quite big enough to keep here in TX.....37" minimum.

......next year our speckled trout daily bag limit drops from 10 to 5, except for about the eastern 1/3rd of the state coastline. At least we get a 40 day red snapper season in federal waters this year. Last few years were half that.

Still a 2 per day limit in federal waters, but the 40 days is better than we've had in a long time.
