How to drain fuel tank

I purchased a 2008 170CC with a Honda 50 4-stroke this summer. I had the outboard winterized and plan to store the boat in the garage (1999 F-150 out into the cold) and was trying to figure out the best way to drain the fuel tank. I read all the threads and could'nt find any direct advice on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Don't worry about and just put some Star Tron in the tank... Short of running it till the engine quits with a fixed mounted tank, it is not a easy process and the Star Tron will hold it over the cooler months.

I add stabilizer then fill the tank. Less air in tank + less condensation. This year I switched to the marine version of Sta-bil. It's supposed to counteract the effects of ethanol in addition to stabilizing the fuel. We'll see.....

From the factory:
The best way would be to get a siphon pump and pump it straight out of
the fill. There is no drain plug on the gas tank.

Make sure the pump is safe for use with gasoline.
