I had a MinnKota bow mount trolling motor on my 170 CC. The mounting base and motor as installed by the dealer were top notch. All MinnKota. This base would work with whatever size / thrust bow mount you may choose. The 55 lb. thrust 12 v. worked fine on the 170 CC.
The flat base was mounted with both screws and through bolts. On the motor as part of the base was the other half of the base that permitted the motor to be removed very conveniently. The attachment was made by sliding the two halves of the base together until a lock pin snapped in place. There was provision for placing a padlock to discourage theft. All this can be reviewed in a Bass Pro Marine catalogue.
