Hit a rock this weeked and damaged the prop. Fortunately I was close to home and the engine is running fine. I have a backup factory prop I am replacing today. I have the manual and the sesac manual but just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions. Anything I should check on the engine to make sure I didn't damage it. The prop just got shaved on one blade. The skeg saved it.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune but am glad all made it back home safe and sound. Depending on how hard the skeg (or lower unit) hit you may want to change the oil in the lower unit to check for water intrusion...just in case a seal broke loose during the impact. If there's no water in the oil, you should be fine. Keep an eye (or ear) out for any unusual vibration or sound which might indicate a bent prop shaft. Most motors are pretty tough so you're most likely O.K. Just some thoughts.

Tight lines.
