522FC377-F96A-4096-9C51-D8E4D2CF3E48.jpeg Launched from Garcia Park about 6:45am. Water temps 59-60. Was marking lots of fish as soon as we left the boat ramp so we put our lines out. Had to stop at 2PM, but we had 3 fish in the bag, I short of a limit for both my cousin and I.
On some other fishing forums I visit a lot of people are getting skunked. There were even a few guide boats where we were trolling.... one had 5 fish, another had 1 fish, and the last guide boat I asked had 2.... so fish are still there, but you gotta work for them. What seems to be working best are Brads Cut Plugs filled with tuna behind an 11” pro troll flasher with an agitator fin. This setup involves heavier weights (8-10oz) which makes fighting the fish less fun then using a spinner and 2oz, but hey, that’s what’s catching fish, so whatcha gonna do?
If you’re in the SF Bay Area you still got time to get into the action!
