Through Hull transducer?

I'm installing a new transducer on my 210cc and want to buy the one that is through the hull where it can be mounted in the bilge area inside the hull instead of in the rear transom outside the boat. Has the plastic hull caused any issues with the images trying to shoot through the plastic of the hull? Anyone have a through the hull transducer they can say how well it works or issues they have with it that may be caused by the plastic hull?

As I recall from many earlier posts on this forum, the through-hull xducers will not work due mainly to the foam between hulls. Try a search on the subject for more insight.

harper is correct, our hulls have a fair amount of air space in them that precludes the use of in-hull transducers
