Wood rot nearly sank this boat..

This is why I will never buy a wood boat. This boat nearly sank due to developing a crack mid-voyage due to wood rot.

Boat owner / driver made good decisions. Got people forward to bring the stern up and headed to a nearby place to beach. Saved his passengers and the craft.

If faced with the same situation, remember to have every passenger don their life jackets / PFD's, and if you can, keep one person assigned to the radio to keep responders updated. Otherwise, that was a bad situation that they handled well.
