Best place to mount puck that is a hummingbird side imaging

Does anyone know where to mount the puck to get the best readings while on the run?

Typically, transom mounting, right side, deep as possible but clear of prop wash, slightly below hull bottom and with a slight tilt back.

My hull has an step on the bottom of the hull(190 bay 2011)does anyone know if this will be an problem if I mount this close to the center of the boat??????

I could not find a picture online but generally the way stepped hulls are engineered it should not be an issue.
