Jeff and I took off from Los Alamitos to not fish the Halibut, thought we would try for some local bassin. Got some nice Chovies from LB Bait, Dines from Nachos replacements, and frozen squid from Al on Wind-N-Down. Lit out for Rocky Point area on perfect seas, no wind.Picked away at a couple spots for small Calicos and not much else. Decided to head back to Long Beach, sat on the wall for nuthin. Went to some deeper structure that I have'nt fished in years. First drift thru and bring up a fish I dont know. Would apppreciate help with ID.Is it a Greenling or something else?

Also while not fishing for Halibut, got a really clean 30 incher to top off the trip. Thanks to Al for the Popsicles, also saw Reel Cowboy, and Tailman out there

A few possibilities: vermillion rockfish, bocaccia rockfish, chile snapper. The spots on this fish look like bacteria, but I'm not an expert, just a few guesses after looking at some researched pictures.
